Sarah is Masaiâs retail manager. That means Sarahâs main responsibility is Masaiâs shops, which includes the customer experience and contact for each woman entering a Masai shop. At Masai, you donât just buy clothes, you find space to be yourself, and a vision for women that goes beyond conventions and box-ticking, and thatâs what makes Sarahâs work so rewarding. Sarahâs extensive experience is very much an added bonus that also benefits colleagues and customers.

âIâve worked with shops â that is, the retail industry â all my life, and there are three main experiences Iâm very much aware of in my everyday life. The first is the gift I received when I moved to Paris and was lucky enough to work for Christian Louboutin. He taught me that a positive customer experience must be felt at all levels. Everyone deserves to be seen, and nobody should be without that. The second great realisation has been how privileged I am in my job here at Masai. You see, very little time elapses from a design idea taking shape, to put it in the hands of individual women. The third is what a gift it actually is to be with Masai. Iâve spent many years trying to fit in and be right, but itâs only now Iâve found contentment in being myself. I donât have to conform or fit into a box here; I have breathing space to be myself, and itâs such a great feeling to have.â

Carina Simons has always followed her heart, in both her life choices and her career. This led to her joining the Red Cross, where she currently is Marketing Manager for Red Cross recycling, raising money for the most vulnerable groups in Danish society. Last year Masai and the Red Cross entered a special partnership whereby Masai customers bring old Masai clothes to their local Masai store, and Masai then sends them on to the Red Cross charity stores. As a thank you all Masai's customers receive a discount on their next purchase.
Maude McNair Rahbek
Maude is Masaiâs production manager, so her responsibility includes the entire process of making each piece of clothing. Maude has extensive knowledge of textiles and manufacturing techniques, and her dedication to crafting the best possible garment from the very best materials available is a daily inspiration. Maude has travelled the world and is in close contact with the people who take the design and turn it into a beautiful fashion statement.
